How to do Ashwini Mudra

How to do Ashwini Mudra? To practice Ashwini Mudra, sit in a comfortable meditative posture such as Sukhasana, Vajrasana, or Padmasana with your spine straight and shoulders relaxed. Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths to settle your mind. Gently contract the anal sphincter muscles—just as you would when trying to hold a bowel movement—and hold the contraction for a few seconds without straining. Then slowly release the muscles and relax completely. This cycle of contraction and relaxation counts as one round. Continue for 10–20 rounds, keeping your breathing natural and your focus on the pelvic region. Practicing Ashwini Mudra regularly helps activate the root chakra, strengthen pelvic muscles, and prepare the mind for meditation.
