Are gated communities safer than independent villas in Jaipur?

Has anybody recently rented/purchased a Furnished Villa Jaipur? Please tell me the average price range and what facilities are normally there. I would like a safe, well-connected place suitable for a small family. Are the gated communities better or the independent villas?
